Chronicle: Select an iconic figure with significant achievements in the world according to their professional profile (e.g., in fashion, an iconic figure is Agatha Ruiz), and search for information about them on the Internet. Based on the chosen character, write a chronicle highlighting the most important events and relevant situations in their professional career.

John Giannandrea graduated from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, where he earned a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computer Science and received an Honorary Doctorate. John is a board member of the SETI Institute and Castilleja School.

John Giannandrea, Google’s former head of search and artificial intelligence, is joining Apple.
The hire, first reported by The New York Times, comes one day after the executive announced he was stepping down from his role at Google, itself a surprise move amid a broader executive reshuffle that now makes much more sense in hindsight. Giannandrea will report directly to CEO Tim Cook as the leader of “machine learning and AI strategy,” according to the Times.

Both Facebook and Google, and to a lesser extent Amazon and Microsoft, are powerhouses in AI, employing hundreds of researchers working across a number of different domains that routinely publish substantive papers that help inform internal products and the collective AI research community at large.

Apple, though it helped define the early market for voice-based digital assistants with Siri, has had neither the access to data nor the research talent and resources to approach AI development with the same level of intensity as its rivals.

Siri remains the butt of innumerable jokes about AI’s lacking sophistication. John Giannandrea is joining the iPhone maker to lead its machine learning and AI strategy efforts. . Taking Giannandrea’s place is Google veteran Jeff Dean, widely considered to be one of the most talented and trusted figures in the coding world

Hello god bless you so much, my name is Benjamin berrio blanco and I am a student in the Analysis and Software Development training program with file number 2627000
My instructor is Sebastian Perez restrepo.
As a software development student, I think that I should have a positive attitude and work collaboratively with my classmates and instructors. I must be reliable and empathetic to others. It is important that I always try my best and put effort into my work. In addition to these attitudes, and I believe that I must hold important values such as companionship, respect, responsibility, and dialogue.
I should always practice these values in my interactions with others. As a student, I must complete my assignments and be responsible for the tasks that are assigned to me. I must ensure that I stay organized and up-to-date with my work.
If I am also working, I understand that I must follow the instructions of my instructor to do my job properly and effectively. I must carry a notebook with me to write down important information so that I don't forget anything.
Finally, I know that balancing school and work can be challenging. That's why I must organize my schedule efficiently to fulfill all of my obligations. Thank you for listening to my presentation!

  1. How can you be environmentally friendly at work?

In my experience, being environmentally friendly at work can involve small yet significant changes in our daily routines. For instance, I try to reduce my carbon footprint by using public transportation or carpooling instead of driving to work, which not only helps the environment but also saves money.

  1. What kind of incentives could a green company offer to its employees?

Green companies could offer various incentives to encourage their employees to be environmentally friendly. For instance, they could provide a bike-sharing program, which would encourage employees to commute to work on bicycles. This program could also include incentives such as free gym memberships or cash rewards for employees who choose to bike to work.

  1. In what other ways could businesses involve their employees in environmental issues?

Businesses could involve their employees in environmental issues by organizing volunteer opportunities that focus on environmental conservation. For example, they could organize a beach or park cleanup day, or encourage employees to volunteer at local environmental organizations.

Evidencia de desempeño: GA3-240202501-AA2-EV03 Foro

Para el desarrollo de la evidencia debe participar en el foro denominado “Sharing life experiences” y a partir de los aspectos de su experiencia laboral, de manera argumentada y creativa, responda las siguientes preguntas basado en la situación inicial planteada: Think about an experience at work where you were flexible and adapted to a new situation or a change in the process. Now answer:

 ● What was the result of the experience?

 ● How did your flexibility and adaptability help you to deal with the situation?

 ● Would you change anything in order to deal in a better way with it?

Think about an experience at work where you were flexible and adapted to a new situation or a change in the process.

Now answer:

  • What was the result of the experience?

One experience where an employee had to be flexible and adapt to a new situation was when they were assigned to work on a project with a tight deadline. The result of the experience was successful completion of the project within the given timeframe. Their flexibility and adaptability helped them to prioritize tasks, work efficiently, and collaborate effectively with their team members.

  • How did your flexibility and adaptability help you to deal with the situation?

In a previous job, I was asked to take on additional responsibilities due to a colleague's unexpected absence. Although the tasks were outside my usual job duties, my flexibility and adaptability helped me to quickly learn and perform the required tasks. My willingness to step in and help also demonstrated my dedication to the team and the organization. By being flexible, I was able to maintain productivity and ensure that deadlines were met, which ultimately contributed to the team's success.

  • Would you change anything in order to deal in a better way with it?

There are some things that I could have done differently to better deal with the situation. For instance, I could have communicated more effectively with my team members and supervisors to ensure that everyone was on the same page. Additionally, I could have taken more initiative to identify potential roadblocks and proactively address them. Overall, I view the experience as a learning opportunity, and I am confident that I would be better prepared to handle similar situations in the future.

Critical Thinking and Media Literacy

We have always been told that the internet is like a great sea, where we navigate in search of knowledge, entertainment, ways to communicate with others and information in general.

But you have to know that this ocean is not a quiet place, we can find dangers of all kinds, scams, false information, computer viruses, and even other people whose purpose is to make others feel bad just for fun. That is why it is important to inform yourself very well about these dangers, to know how to avoid them when navigating this sea and thus not encounter difficulties in our objective.

Media Literacy is the ability to access, analyze, evaluate and create media in a variety of forms. “A fool is someone who never reads the newspaper, and even more so someone who always pays attention to it.” August von Schlözer, German historian and writer (1735-1809).

JUST as more than two hundred years ago people could not trust everything published in newspapers, today we cannot trust much of what circulates on the Internet. Thanks to new technologies, we currently have an enormous amount of information.

But we must be very careful, because in addition to useful and truthful information, we find a lot that is useless, false and even dangerous. Above all, new Internet users should be careful, as they may believe a strange or sensational news story simply because it appears on the Internet or because it was sent to them by e-mail by a friend. With good reason, the Bible gives this warning: “The naive believe everything they tell him; the prudent watch where he goes” (Prov. 14:15, New International Version).

Therefore, when we connect, let's do it with a critical attitude. Before giving credence to any information, let us ask ourselves: 1) who is the author and what authority does he have? 2) What are the possible intentions and prejudices of the person who has placed the text on the Internet? 3) Are the sources and bibliographical references indicated? 4) Is the data up to date? Paul's advice to Timothy remains as applicable today as it was yesterday: "Guard what has been entrusted to your care, turning away from idle talk that violates what is holy, and from the contradictions of what is falsely called 'knowledge'" (1 Timothy 6:20).
